The Medina County District Library Board of Trustees met in special session on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Medina Library. With a quorum present, President Griffiths called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.
Roll call: The following members were present: Dr. Maria Griffiths, William Koran, Caleb Parker, Brian Harr, Mark Krosse, Jill McGarr.
Library staff members in attendance: Julianne Bedel, Director; Jason Brzezinski, Facilities Manager; Allison Gaebelein, Interim Fiscal Officer acting as recording secretary.
Approval of the Agenda: Mr. Harr moved, and Mr. Parker seconded the motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.
Mr. Krosse reported on the Buildings Committee meeting held prior to the special Board meeting with a recommendation for special engineering services in regard to the Medina Library Boiler Project.
Resolution 23-11: Upon recommendation of the Buildings Committee, the Medina County District Library Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the Interim Fiscal Officer to enter into an agreement with Scheeser, Buckley, Mayfield to provide professional engineering services in an amount not to exceed $16,700 for the Medina Library Boiler Project, 2023.
Motion carried.
Resolution 23-12: Upon a motion by Mr. Parker and seconded by Mr. Koran, the Medina County District Library Board of Trustees hereby approves the following transfer in appropriations in the 401 Capital Outlay Fund to cover fees for professional engineering services for the Medina Library Boiler Project, 2023.
From: 401.5.5400 Building/Improvements $16.700
To: 401.5.3700 Professional Services $16,700
Motion Carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business, Mr. Krosse moved and Ms. McGarr seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:49 p.m. Motion carried.
