The Medina County District Library Board of Trustees met in special session on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Medina Library. With a quorum present, President Griffiths called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Roll call: The following members were present: Dr. Maria Griffiths, William Koran, Caleb Parker, Brian Harr, Mark Krosse, Jill McGarr.
Library staff members in attendance: Julianne Bedel, Director; and Allison Gaebelein, Deputy Fiscal Officer acting as recording secretary.
Approval of the Agenda: Mr. Harr moved, and Mr. Koran seconded the motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.
Resolution 23-05 Appointment of a Public Employee: Upon a motion by Mr. Krosse and seconded by Mr. Parker, the Medina County District Library Board of Trustees hereby appoints Allison Gaebelein Interim Fiscal Officer with a surety bond of $250,000 and a salary equal to an hourly rate of $35.55 effective immediately through March 20, 2023. This interim appointment is subject to extension or termination by Board action, pending the return to work of Fiscal Officer Kelly A. Conner.
Roll call vote: Dr. Griffiths – Aye; Mr. Koran – Aye; Mr. Parker – Aye; Mr. Harr – Aye; Mr. Krosse – Aye; Ms. McGarr – Aye. Motion Carried.
Adjournment: There being no further business, Mr. Koran moved and Mr. Krosse seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:04 p.m. Motion carried.
