Medina County District Library is committed to providing a safe and healthful environment for members of the staff and public. Every effort will be made to comply with relevant federal and state occupational health and safety laws and to develop the best feasible operations, procedures, technologies, and programs conducive to such an environment.
The first priority in all cases is the safety of library members and employees.
The administration is directed to establish disaster and emergency procedures for bomb threats, weather related closing, fire and smoke, medical, police, physical plant, environmental, and technology emergencies. The administration is directed to establish health, safety, and hygiene plans to ensure a healthy, clean, environment for all library users and staff.
Animals are not permitted in the library except for those assisting people with disabilities as per Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and those involved in library-sponsored programs.
