The Medina County District Library values community involvement in the discharge of our mission. Individual volunteers, community groups and organizations are encouraged to participate in our role of service to the community.
A criminal background check will be conducted on all adult volunteers with the exception of court-ordered volunteers. For a volunteer group, the leader will be background checked. MCDL will obtain a report of a bookmate volunteer's driving record and verification of insurance.
Volunteers referred through a court system must be verified through Medina Municipal Court or by an administrator of the referring court. MCDL may choose not to use the court referred volunteer or may choose not to provide all the volunteer hours requested.
