Medina County District Library provides access to the Internet and eMedia.

MCDL cannot be held responsible for Internet content. Members are advised to use caution when sending personal information over the Internet.

MCDL does not guarantee that selected filtered computers will block material deemed objectionable. Internet use by minor children is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. MCDL staff cannot be held responsible for supervising minors in the library.

MCDL is committed to providing an environment free from sexual harassment. Sexually explicit graphics or other objectionable images may not be displayed on screens or printed on library equipment.

The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17 United States Code) governs the distribution, adaptation, reproduction, public performance and public display of copyrighted material. The user is solely responsible for any possible infringement of copyright laws; the Library disclaims any responsibility or liability that results from any such action.

MCDL reserves the right to regulate the use of computers and further reserves the right to terminate an Internet session at any time. Use which damages equipment and/or software is prohibited and may result in legal action. The use of library equipment to engage in any activity which constitutes violation of local, state and/or federal laws, is strictly prohibited.

Members violating these guidelines will be asked to stop. If the violation continues, the user will forfeit the right to Internet access and may be asked to leave the Library.

MCDL will be held harmless for any and all claims, losses, damages, obligation, or liabilities directly or indirectly relating to the use of the Internet or eMedia.
