The holidays are the season of giving, but at Medina County District Library, January is too. MCDL will host, Snuggle Up & Read, a month-long event aimed at providing books and pajamas to children in need.

Beginning January 2 and continuing the entire month, library members and county residents may drop off a new book or pajama set at any MCDL location. Collection bins will be available for donations.

“The program is aimed at all children, even teens, so it would be perfectly acceptable to donate a board book and sleeper set or a men’s size large pajama pant and a book from The Fifth Wave series, or other popular teen books,” says Ann Plazek, MCDL Outreach Services Manager.

Teen volunteers from the Buckeye Library will sort and organize the donations and MCDL will deliver to the Children’s Center of Medina County and Medina County Battered Women’s Shelter.
