Sylvia Williams is responsible for overseeing the selection, acquisition, distribution, and evaluation of all the library materials including print, audio-visual, and digital information.

Sylvia joined the MCDL staff in 1992. She was the Adult Acquisitions Librarian for fourteen years before becoming the Collection Resources Manager. She received her BA from Youngstown State University and her MLS from Kent Sate University. Upon graduation from Kent State University she joined the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County system where she worked for six years.

Sylvia is a member of the Ohio Library Council and the American Library Association.
