Karen oversees the development and
strategic plans for events and programming in support of the Medina County District Library. She
is the MCDL liaison to the public in fundraising activities, as well as coordinating
partnerships with businesses, corporations and individual donors.
Karen joined the MCDL staff in April 2009.
Before joining the Library, she worked in television media and public relations
for six years. Her professional experience includes working as an account
executive for a large Chicago PR firm, overseeing editorial and corporate communications at one of the
world’s largest technology distributors, and covering breaking news as a senior
reporter for a CBS affiliate in Wisconsin. Karen is active in various non profit organizations including the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society and various community
charities. She received a B.S. in Journalism from Kent State University.
Karen lives in Medina with her husband Matt
and their son Colin.
